Privacy policy.

This policy explains how Protect Ya Edge handles personal information when you use this website, join the Template Designer waitlist or submit an enquiry for a custom axe sheath. Protect Ya Edge is the trading name of Jonathan Hewer, a sole trader based in England, and is the data controller for the information you submit through these forms. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”.

We collect the information you choose to provide through the contact and custom-sheath enquiry forms, or when you join the Template Designer waitlist. Before submitting an enquiry form, you acknowledge this handling as described in this policy. The waitlist form explains its purpose and links to this policy:

• your name, email address, topic and message;
• for a custom enquiry, your country, axe brand and model, notes, selected configuration and estimated price; and
• your email address if you join the Template Designer waitlist; and
• your privacy acknowledgement when you submit an enquiry form; and
• technical information processed by Cloudflare Turnstile when you submit a form to help distinguish people from automated traffic.

The forms do not collect photographs or measurements. If they are needed, they will be requested later by email. Please do not include sensitive personal information in free-text fields.

We use your enquiry details to understand your requirements, respond to you, and prepare a final price or follow-up questions. For enquiries, we process this information to respond to your request and, where relevant, take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We use your waitlist email address to add you to the Template Designer waitlist and notify you when early access opens. The lawful basis for this waitlist processing is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. Clerk may send a notification confirming that your email address was added. We do not add waitlist addresses to a general marketing list. If we later want to send broader marketing emails, we will ask for separate consent. You can withdraw your consent or ask us to remove your waitlist entry at any time. We do not sell form details.

Successful enquiries are kept as email in the business Gmail mailbox until they are manually deleted. Waitlist email addresses are kept as waitlist entries in Clerk while they are needed for the active waitlist and until they are removed or no longer needed. We review the waitlist when early access opens and remove entries that are no longer needed. No separate website submission database or archive is created.

Amazon Web Services hosts the site API and sends enquiry email through Amazon SES. Google provides the Gmail mailbox in which the business receives and manages that email. Clerk stores the Template Designer waitlist entries and sends the add-to-waitlist notification. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical information needed to distinguish people from automated traffic. These providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards and can provide further information on request.

This website uses Cloudflare Turnstile on submission forms and the waitlist form for abuse prevention. Turnstile may use strictly necessary browser storage or similar technical signals. The site does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and it does not use cookies to remember enquiry details.

If a future feature needs a strictly necessary cookie, we will explain what it does. If we add analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your clear consent before setting them and provide a way to change or withdraw that choice.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for a copy of your information, correction or deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To withdraw consent or ask us to remove your waitlist entry, use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”.
